    When a Phone is Released On a UK Network, How Long does it take be Launched here.
    for example. im waiting to get the new Sony Ericsson k750i, it is being launched n the uk the end of may on all networks there. but long will it take the likes of vodafone and o2 to launch the phone on thier network here in ireland. is just quicker to buy it sim free

    Hi,

    there is no guarntee that Irish operators will release any handset that is released in the UK.

    Different networks have different criteria for approving terminals so just because Vodafone UK have approved a device it does not mean Vodafone Ireland will. If you are desperate for a particular handset buy it sim free but if an Irish mobile network release it bring it in immediately and have the firmware upgraded on it as it is most probably a build that the network operator has been in development with the handset manufacturer to create and should work more efficiently on the network here in Ireland.
