Hadn't played in a while so updated everything last night.
Now when i'm playing, after 5 minutes the game crashes...
    Anyone had this problem?

Patches I have installed are -

    coduo_patch.exe
    CoD_1.5_Patch.exe
    coduo_mappack.exe

    Do I need anymore?

    What does the console say?

Add +logfile1 to your shortcut and post the contents of qconsole.log.../actually maybe called somfin else but time and date will be last time you played it and it will be .LOG (in your MAiN dir AFTER the crash)

Notepad will open it or wordpad.

    Radeon 9800 PRO

Tried to find the logfile, no sign of it...

I'd say definitely an Ati issue... If possible, install latest driver and remove all extra features (such as the Catalyst mentioned by Drapper) and see if the problem persists. It shouldn't...

    good luck! ;)

    try this :- https://activision.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/activision.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=LNSnEiFh&p_lva=&p_li=&p_page=1&p_cv=&p_pv=2.361&p_prods=1%2C361&p_cats=&p_hidden_prods=&prod_lvl1=1&prod_lvl2=361&p_search_text=ATI&p_new_search=1&p_search_type=answers.search_nl&p_sort_by=dflt

    which worked for me !!

its only crashes in multiplay right ? and about 5 mins after joining a server ?

the instruction are (if you use catalyst) is to uninstall or rollback drivers to earlier catayst......... the problem is to do with refresh rate and building up in the graphics card mem I think !!

have a read (btw I'm not a techie)

    Yes, thats the problem....

Is this what your talking about to fix it -

I am encountering problems with the Catalyst 3.8/3.9 drivers.

    Answer
    Disable VPU Recovery
    1) Right-click on the desktop and select properties.

    3) Click the SMARTGART tab.
    4) Ensure VPU recovery is disabled.
    5) Click Apply, then OK.

    No........ rollback the drivers............

I actually uninstalled the graphics card with the ATI CD with the card fully and then reinstaled back to the original diver on the CD too. Should be ok !

AFAIK there is a "graphic diver and a catalyst driver", the catalyst makes the problem....

    Pain in the arse............

but if the above works give it a lash and let me know !

    Hello,I have the same problem.
I tried all the methods mentioned before and none of them works (rollback the ATI drivers, disabled Fast-Writes, disabled VPU recovery, tried installing only the driver without catalyst, downloaded fixed drivers from https://activision.custhelp.com/cgi...&p_sort_by=dflt ...

Nothing worked, the problem stayed... any more ideas?

go to lower resolution, lower refresh rate, switch off vsync, use 800 by 600 maybe 16bit settings,go to 60mhz refresh rate .try it in safe mode or safe mode in windows f8 key.try knocking off shadows ,sky, some advanced graphic effects thru ingame graphic settings advanced.
