Just out of interest, is it possible for TCP to aggrivate a tongue piercing?

If it was fresh, I'd imagine so. Had mine done about 3 years (maybe a bit more) now, and had a really bad throat lately, so been on the ol' garglin' TCP trick. Does wonders for the throat! :D About 2 days later my tongue started killing me, there's no swelling or anything visually wrong with it, and its just in the small area around the piercing, almost feels like its on the walls of the tongue that the bar passes through. Honestly not bothering me too much, paracetamol makes it go away, and I'm hoping it'll go soon, as I've stopped the TCP since yesterday :) Just wondering if its likely that TCP could have caused the pains/irritation? (Because if so I'll be finding something better for sore throats! :D). If not, I suppose I should start to worry then ;)

Dont think TCP should aggrevate your piercing did you dilute it before gargling it? Did you do anything else that might have aggrevated it?

50% TCP to 50% water, so a little bit I guess :) No, nothing else, just didn't want to get unduly worried! It's alot less painful tdoay, so I guess it must have been! :D

didn't think tcp would aggravate it...if it keeps hurting, wash your mouth out with a salt solution...i always find that helps, for any aggravating piercing!!!
