Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

what are the chances of Man City getting into europe on the back of the fair play, like they did last time?

Have Man City got the best "fair play" record in the Premiership?

I'd say their best chance would be IF Liverpool won the CL, and IF they are let into the CL, then the third UEFA Cup spot would go to Man City.

No-one has really mentioned that before - have they? I thought that UEFA might upgrade liverpools uefa cup place to a CL place (as opposed to giving man city the uefa cup spot and liverpool a 'free' spot in the CL)

Looks like Spurs probably had the best disciplinary record, I can't find an updated link.

"Teams from the six countries with the best disciplinary record will go into the draw for the two extra places, with England currently fifth best."

Looks like a bit of a lottery situation.

Its definitely a lottery situation. If England make the top 6, then the English team will have a 2 in 6 chance of making it (must say I thought it was more than 6 who would be in the draw). But its the best fair play record in England who would be England's representative - though of course those teams already qualified for Europe are excluded. Not sure if teams relegated are excluded, but otherwise league position is irrelevant.

If Liverpool do get the CL place, it will mean there is a spare place in the UEFA Cup. And I'd be very confident it would be filled rather than giving someone a bye. And in that event Man City would at least be in the reckoning. Lots of IFs though! - maybe a better chance thru the fair play after all ;)

Relegated teams are included (or were). Ipswich got through that way - playing gillingham one week and inter milan the next.
