Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was in London last week and there I found a 3 film dvd set called 'Asian Shockers' which was an HMV exclusive, I bought it so I could watch 'Evil Dead Trap' which I was slightly dissapointed in, however last night i decided to take a look at another film in the boxset, called 'Uzumaki' , having never heard of this movie and not expecting much I played it and holy jesus it was fekin excellent. A very strange but totally addictive movie about a japanese town where people become fascinated with spirals/vortex's till it takes over everyone. It wasnt horrific but there were some really creepy moments, the entire film was shot with a strange green tint overlaying everything. I highly recommend anyone into asian cinema, particularly japanese/korean horror to take a look at this lil gem of a movie.

at least you were prepared for it.

I was at a anime festival in new york and this was being screened. I had arrived late and and didnt have time to check so see what it was about. So i bought a ticket and dived in. Being an anime festival i assumed at first that it was gonna be a anime film (Ahh lttle live action short movie before the big film...or somethign like that) 20 minutes later my jaw was on the ground and my eyes glues to the screen. Excellent film just for how disturbing it is. The bit where she
finds the father in the dryer was excellent as was the bit in the hospital
    overall great asian shocker.

It's odd. I really liked it the first time I watched it.

But I've found on repeat viewings it just doesn't work very well.

It's definetly a good film, but I've seen far better.

If you enjoyed the movie, you should try the comic.
