Very very nice.Do you like the graphite neck?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 470 ✭✭JacoStanley

The graphite neck is the best thing I've ever come by. Swear to GoD. There's no truss rod so all the height adjustments are done from the saddles on the bridge. I don't think I'll ever go back to wood. Stupid wood! Go back to the trees!

The body is wood, is it not? :p

    One word. Yummy.

What's the EQ on it like?

at the bridge there looks like there is two leds one green and one red, i presume its just the light......or maybe i need more sleep

How much do those things set you back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

a modulus new is a ridiculous figure in the region of 2000-3000 dollars. but to import them your looking at that in euro!

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,362 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    Pfft, mere pocket money

to you maybe, but to me its alot! Though, hopefully, I should be picking up my dream Guitar when I go over to the states. LTD M-1000FM *drools*

Much as I applaud your taste in a metal guitar, you must learn to spot the  .

The RRP on the modulus website for the quantum 4 is $3700 but I got it for about half that price. The electronics are very nice Doc. Just bass and treble but the bass adds bass not mud and the treble is way bright. Simple EQ and a great sound.

Not a fan of the M-1000 tbh. The EC-1000 or the H-1000 would be higher up on my list.

    Action is low

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

    That's not even funny...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

yeah man, does that buzz alot?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

Good instruments don't buzz with the action set low when set up properly. The action on my 6 string bass is lower than most guitars and there's not a hint of fret buzz.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

i really wanna lower the action on my SUB, but anytime i do the ****er buzzes like theres no tomorrow, any way to fix that?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

Yep, set it up (see the stickies) and if it still buzzes bring it to someone to get the frets levelled and dressed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

none of them deal with basses though :(
and im scared to mess around with it cos i know ill mess up and wreck the whole thing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

Apart from tremelos and a slightly larger scale, the physics of the instruments are identical. Really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

well ill give it a try......but im blaming you if anything goes wrong.

Now if you'd be kind enough to PM me contact details..... :p
