now at a much more reasonable price. I'd be interested myself at the new price if I was looking for a retro cruiser.

In cork sunday, one of many!

Pretty plain but beautiful nonetheless! 1975, and a bit of rust on the drivers door.

Also spotted a moris minor, traveller, some Model t type, and a couple others between cork city and red strand.

i can remember my dad had one of these in the mid 60s but the roof lifted to the right side, even though the i was young at the time it was still a tight fit in the back seat.i can remember it snowed and was very cold one morning and he went out and put the electric heater under the engine to get it warmed to start it.
would be a nice car to have now.
that looks like a tiger i think they were called ?

The car was up at €79,995 for a long time, I assume he just never bothered to update the text. Of, for that matter, to learn how to spell 'Maybach'.:)

Well you wouldn't use 'Maybach' that much in every day language but you would come acrosss 'Or' and 'Of' fairly regularly and should know the difference! :p

The only thing that spoils it for me is the colour.
The 600 was powered by a 6.3 litre V8 250BHP M100 engine with single overhead camshaft specially developed to move the vechicle
Must be one heavy car... :P

Have to say I love the colour. Not keen on the red interior though.

Doubt it was a test drive Saturday. Only one chap in the car I could see. He also looked at ease with one elbow out the window at some point. Can't see a test driver being so relaxed behind the wheel of that precious bus. :p

Saw a group of Hillmans up on Fanad Head in Donegal today. Unfortunately no pics. There was an orange one on the run that was a real head turner.

It's a Lancia Flaminia Coupé Pininfarina. The interior was spotless but not perfect which is nice to see. Some of these restored classics, you'd be afraid to sneeze near!

Saw a ZV registered Ferrari Daytona (I assume in's genuine with a ZV reg but you'd never know) followed by an MGB roadster this morning just outside Milltown (in Kerry). I'm quite surprised by the exocitica that crops up here in this non-car friendly country from time to time.

That looks remarkably similar to the Peugeot 404.

Another case of Pininfarina selling the same design to two companies, perhaps?

You should see the house repairs that guy does for a living!!!! He used to have a Sunbeam Alpine too years ago, I think more Isopon than metal iirc....

I remember seeing that MG around Youghal too, although it's looking a bit the worse for wear than when I last saw it (probably around 2005, I used to spend a lot of time in Youghal when my grandparents lived there but they died in '02 and '04 and I haven't been down much since). It is indeed used as a daily driver by a local handyman, known to everyone in the town as 'Roofs', his real name may well be lost to history! :D
