I got the back of the merc but not the front/side 37hp it looked mint and only 3 owners I think.

For some reason I was a little disappointed with the vette not sure why.

The purple van (morris?) owner is helping the guy do the volksrod, heard him talk about it.

Was a good show, not just because of the spin in the Ferrari

Well unfortunately this poor little fella needs a new engine,the chap who bought it was driving it to the ferry and the oil pump is believed to have gone on it,and yes you have guessed it,engine siezed.He only had the car a few hours.

My only non car show spot of the day:

Has an "on tow" piece of paper on the back of it, seen it in Drumcondra.

Yep...san telmo. Yeah they still run those 504s. Hoping to take some photos tomorrow...

This monster is up for 5k in aherns of castleisland.Its not exactly in great shape either,but has serious road presence!!Reg is a 77,but its listed as a 76 car.Id love to know its story.

yeah yeah italian = rusty. same old comments.That car is actually in very good nick compared to many of the mk3 cortinas and w123 mercs etc.... that it would have shared the road with when it was new. I got a good look around it earlier this week. worth spending some cash on it to get a nice looking unusual car. I think it's worth saving.

Yep. Know the daft individual. Webber carb. Later ones were injected. Pump is in a really awkward spot. I actually misdiagnosed the problem initially. There was plenty of pressure at the carb while cranking. Stripped carb but no blockage. Hot day must have expanded fuel in tank to give pressure through the pump. When fuel cap removed, flow stopped. At least we know that the carb is ok.

On Sunday I took a drive out to Edenderry on the hunt for some classic Land Rovers.
On the way I noticed a few classics tucked away. I took the following photos of two of them, but heres what I say

1986 Suzuki SJ410, no rear seats parked outside a function room's in Edenderry.

VW Beetle,1200, parked beside a shed, no house on property, no one around to check with.

Renault 5 (no picture yet) in a farm yard near Sallins, also lots of trucks and tractors also.

Meet a few cars in Allenwood on there way to Kildare for the classic show, including a VW pickup, Fiat 127, Cortina late 60's.

Also found a scrap yard near Robertstown, had a drive in but only a few late 80's Toyotas and Nissans.

Planning a trip to Galway this weekend, you never know whats about
