Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

reg was single letter V and 5 digits, there was no country sticker on the back.

Surely the reg is what gets blanked out. Regs can be looked up online, but faces can't.

To me looking at the Moggy better known down the country as a Gallopin Magot looks very original. The letters ZV is an original Dublin reg and i would say thats its pretty original.Certainly she has been restored.

This one?It was a triumph, not sure of the model though. They were what i call Dickie seats in the back, the flap folds up.The kids were in there when he came in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 35 Argesean

Thank u. That explains the arrangement in the back -although I would have to see the flap open to understand the purpose of the windows-except for the fact that it looks good...

Saw these two Mercs outside a well known premises at Annesley Bridge in Dublin. I was sitting in a coach in traffic and couldn't get a good shot of the dark blue pick up conversion in the foreground. reminded me of a recent post from someone considering chopping a 6 series BMW. (Sacreligious!!)

.........that Pagoda is always left outside there, he uses it himself. He has tidyed it up again, last time I saw it it was very rough indeed.

That outher car, the one badges as a 280SE 3.5 would be a very pricey car IF it was real but its a 220SE and painted in a modern Mercedes colour, Chalcedony Blue, which ruins it IMO. A restored 3.5 Cab would run in excess of €70k, whilst a 220SE would be half that in similar condition.

.......now that IS a lovely car, I havent seen it in about 2 years. It was owned by a good friend of mine & Club member and it was a really tight low mileage car, under 50k on it. Nice period colour, unnusual, horizon blue, and largely original !

It was in superb condition, been driven by a young (under 30) lady. She looked well in it.

Colour looked like a sea green, but it may have been different. Lovely car.
