Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Saw a post on here a while back about a Volvo 240 GLT left idle off Ossory Road. Was wondering if it's still there or if it's for sale or whatever??

That Chrysler is based in Fermoy and can be seen around regularly. It's stored outdoors which can't be good for it.

No idea if it's for sale or not but if I'm passing by there this week I'll let you know if it's still there.

I like Mantas and that Manta A looks good. One owner from new for nearly 40 years is pretty amazing!

On a side note but you're the man on here to ask about Opels - how many Opel GTs do you reckon are in the country? There used to be one just across the road from me in Lucan, but it's gone :(

The Fulvia thats been spotted a few times around Clontarf, finally saw it in daylight today. Not in great nick, has had a poor paintjob. But its a daily driver and doesnt look like its got much (if any) tinworm.

I didn't get a pic, but, today I saw a white Mk2, 2 door Cortina in need of resto, on a trailer, crossing the N81, city side of the M50.

Looked a decent example. Will keep someone busy and happy....

Yes, it was still there yesterday as, coincidently I happened to notice it when returning on the train northbound from Connolly Station. I don't know if it's for sale but it's parked outside what may to be a car sales/repair business.

Here's the pic that I posted a while back.

Thanks for that. Seems in good condition considering how long it has been there, not that you can really tell much from behind. Then again it is a Volvo! If only I lived in Dublin...

No pics but spotted a white, pre '87 reg white Transit on the N81 last week, top hinged rear door, looked like it had body panels inside.

You really cant win with a car of that age,a five digit ZV would look equally as bad.

At the end of the day, it's only a plate.... The car looks stunning :-)

No, I meant the physical plate itself. :D

Would have been nicer with some proper riveted on polished peak digits.

    Ah yes..... :D

I'm thinking of getting a set of old style plates (red one at the back) for the mercedes...

eireplates.com do them at a reasonable price

Dave, just a small point. 525mm x 113mm (20.5" x 4.5") is UK 7 digit size. So it's a slightly smaller plate and I'm guess that to have a ready supply of plastic digits, they are the slightly smaller 79mm digits (3 1/8" not 3 1/2")

    Europlates do a pressed aluminium white/red plate in 21" x 5" with 3.5" digits.

They look nice but it doesn't look like the plates can take a ZV number with 5 digits :-)

I meant with water cooled engines. I see it can work with aircooled motors - I'm not denying that theory.

I have the bottom 1/4 blocked off on my water-cooled...........bike ! Yep, makes a difference !
