As bad as 80's music was for the most part personally i think we had a few gems in there that shouldnt be forgotten.

Any 80's band's/ songs/ albums that you wont ever diss or let go of??

For me, Its Dr. Feelgood by Motley Crue or
Shout at the Devil by Motley Crue.

    And then of course:

    Metallica's Master of Puppets
    LA Guns, Rip and Tear
Guns & Roses: Appetite For Destruction

Black Flag, The Misfits, The Police, Madness, the list goes on and on and on. 80's pop was a disaster. but behind all that it was a savage decade for music

As bad as the 80s was???

  • Registered Users Posts: 238 ✭✭Dr.Feelgood

I do listen to alot of 80's music so maybe i should rephrase-

    I wouldnt say bad

I would say as questionable as some of the music of the 80's was although only as questionable as some of the music from the 90's and the current pop music seen is somewhat of a joke in my opinion.

The pop seen need a king not a Duke or land lord like that pussycat Justin

They need a new Phil Collins, a popular music genius.

"i can feel it coming in the air tonight!!"

I'm more of a rocker but dammit i love that song, and easy lover!!

For ultra 80's rock, you have to include whitesnake.
    My choices,

    The Crue - Live Wire,
Whitesnake - Died in your arms tonight,
Van Halen - Hot for teacher,
Poison - Every Rose Has it's thorn, or, Give me something to beleive in,
    Warrant - Cherry Pie,
Twisted Sister - I wanna rock!

    Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.

How much and where did you purchase the ticket?

    Which gig is it??

    Cardiff? Glasgow??

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,419 ✭✭✭nadir

yeah 80's pwned. great films and music.
I think it was fuled by the demise of hippiedom after the 60's 70's, the fear of impending nuclear doom and the possible prospects of the high tech future.
