Some big news this week. Finally, after months of waiting, the third room is open at POGO. “Ive heard this before” you might be screaming, well, you’d be right. We’ve announced the grand opening about 4 times at this stage but for one reason or another, each time it was delayed. For fear of crying wolf we’ve said nothing about it this time, but it opened last week, we saw it with our own eyes, hell, we even danced there, so now we can proudly proclaim…WE HAVE A THIRD ROOM!!

Anyway, we're all giddy with excitement here so were going to give away not 10, not 15 but 20 passess for this Saturdays fun and games. Usual drill, first 20 to reply or email pogo@bodytonicmusic.com are on the list, that simple.

    On with the show…

    THE THIRD ROOM COMMETH!
Finally, we have the third room to play with and its time to start getting excited about it. This will be our live/alternative/experimental area where every week there will be something completely different on. Breaks one week, hip hop the next, then rock, then drum and bass and we have got some of the best residents in the country for each given night. More on that below.

    ROOM 1 - POGO LIVE
    DARK ROOM NOTES -LIVE
    DONAL SCANNELL (DJ)

Music Policy : drum and bass, breaks, hip hop, rock, indie on a weekly rotation. See www.pogo-dublin.com for more details

This week, we are kicking off with a band. Dark Room Notes they are known as and we think they are quite good. A lazy hack once called them a 'New' New Order and that'll do nicely for descriptive purposes. Dirty synth pop with rubber gloves on. We also have the admirable talents of video director and DJ Donal Scannell on support duties. You may know Donal from his show on Today FM or as the man behind the excellent 33:45 all dayers in Dublin a few years ago where they filled vicar St with VJs, bands, DJs, producers on a Sunday with performances from the likes of Carl Craig and Laurent Garnier burned into the memories of those that attended.

Meanwhile, out in POGO CLUB we have our rock Baz Redsetta playing, joined by Jeff Walters Jeff has played with Irish promoters Rosman, Genius, Influx, plays regularily in Barcelona and as far as we are concerned is one of the best techno/house DJs out there.

we dont normally ****e on that much but seeing as its the launch night, we've alot on or planned, and we've never posted on this board we thought we'd get it out of the way from the start and lay all the cards on the table.

forthcoming posts will be strictly to the point :)
