Looking at buying a VW Polo 03
    Just over 20K on clock
    1.2 L

What would be a good price for it?

Also are Golfs that much better?

    Thanks

Check out prices on buy&sell, CBG.ie and autotrader if not buying from a dealer

If buying from dealer check on carzone.ie and check out similiar cars so at least you have prices to bargain down with!"!

    mattie,

    Book value is of a 5dr polo, 2003 with 27K is €11625
    Book value is of a 3dr polo, 2003 with 27K is €11095

This is the value a dealer 'should' offer you on a trade in. Given your has lower milage add a few bob on.

Remember a heavily facelifted Polo goes on sale next month so this will effect prices of the current model. Also don't pay much extra for the Comfortline model. The spec of this model such as elec windows and central locking have been standard on other cars of similar size for ages. VW would charge extra for the steering wheel if they could get away with it. If you are set on one then it may be worth looking at the Plus model which was better equipped than the Comfortline but only cost a fraction more than the Baseline model.

Have you driven the car? The reason I ask is that the 1.2 Polo only has 55bhp which really struggles in the heavy Polo body, this makes overtaking difficult.
