Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey just a quick question if i May;

    I have a wireless access point downstairs in the house and i mainly use the net from my PC in my bedroom, anyways For the first week or so i was getting good enough speeds(54Mbs) but recently(mainly after online gaming) the speed drops as far as 1 Mbps. This then will go up and down at will but only ever gets as far as 24Mbps. I noticed the speed will drop whenever i'm accessing the net/downloading. Could this be because the card is being used for extended periods of time? I noticed that it mainly happens in the evening although its that way now. As I said it mainly happens after gaming, but never during, only when i disconnect from a server, when im playing i get good pings

    Cheers for any help.

    Sounds like a noise problem, ie one of your neighbours (or even you) is using wireless stuff that operates on the same frequency as your base station (most probably 2.4Ghz). The usual suspect would be a wireless video sender.

    Cheers mate, the only thing I could think of that I use would be a wireless mouse, would this be a problem? If not no worries im sure its something else.

    Cheers for the help

    Wireless mice do operate on the 2.4GHz frequency usually. Unless it's bluetooth or infrared instead of RF.

    Try changing your channel in the wireless router. A gap of 3 channels is recommended, so if you're on channel 2, go to channel 5. If you're on 11, drop down to 8.

    Alright cool thanks, with changing the chanels do i need tro do anything from the PC end or is it just from the router side?

    Nope, just router side.

    Do it using an actual cable if you have one, what with sending a command via wireless & changing the wireless channel at the same time, things can end up muddled.

    Best of luck.

    Np, did changing the channel fix it?

    Haven't changed the channel yet, but I placed the aerial dealy outside the bedroom door and I seem to be getting 54Mpbs constantly so i presume t'was the noise thing,

    Cheers again
