Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The following are the results from Irish Whip Wrestling's Gym War 2, which took place in IwW's Frontier Gym, Baldoyle, Dublin on Sunday 22nd March, 2005:

Vic Viper d. 'Sensational' Sean South via pinfall

South was looking to add to an impressive debut after defeating Blagger Boy Zero at the first Gym War. However on the night he was overmatched in an excellently contested , technically sound opening contest that saw Viper, after several previous attempts, gain a victory when he hit his devastating Snake Bite finisher.

Kevo Steel, Blagger Boy Butch, TJ Noxx, Dirty Sanchez & Jason Slayer d. Steve Stryker, Baby Face, Marty Gore, Danny Maverick and Super Speedo via pinfall in a 10-man tag-team match

Ten of IwW's most promising trainees from the Frontier Gym competed in their debut match and put on quite an impressive performance. In a tremendous back-and-forth contest that saw competitors beat the hell into one another both in and outside the ring, a fiercly competitive rivalry between Kevo Steel and Steve Stryker, two men with experience in other fighting styles, emerged as they squared off to the crowd's pleasure. It seemed as if Stryker had the victory when he downed Kevo with a vicious spinebuster, however after interference from his team mates and two Fisherman's Suplexes, it would be Kevo Steel that would strike the first blow in what may develop into an all-out war down the line.

Mad Man Manson d. Bam Katrazz via pinfall

The unpredictable Mad Man Manson made his return to an IwW ring in a rematch from the March Super Show, against the plucky Bam Katrazz who was flanked by his fellow Party Animal, George McFly. Bam would end up on the wrong side of the 1-2-3 one more time, but not without a fight as it took Manson all the strength he could muster to kick out of one of Katrazz's patented Diving Elbows. Manson would regain his composure shortly afterwards and, after briefly stopping to inform McFly that while he hated parties, he loved animals, eventually finished Katrazz off with a Dominator.

Irish Dragon d. Forbes Kelly via pinfall

Ahead of his huge Three Stages of Hell match with Red Vinny at D-Day, Dragon was caught off-guard by the challenge presented by the debuting Forbes Kelly. The two engaged in a fast-paced, high-octaine bout that saw Kelly dominate for the better part until the ever-resourceful Dragon would reach down and pull out the intestinal fortitude required to finish off his opponent with a Frog Splash. Afterwards, Red Vinny immediately hit the ring and berated both the viewing crowd and Dragon himself, expressing his utter disbelief at Dragon accepting his challenge and demanding Dragon, for his own benefit, return to the locker room and rip-up the contract for the match. After Dragon adamantly refused, Vinny seized an opportunity while Dragon's back was turned and attack the young star, causing a brawl to ensue. To Vinny's chagrin however, it would be Dragon that would get the better of him this time, sending Vinny into retreat after a Superkick.

'The Pukka One' Darren Burridge d. George McFly via pinfall

After kicking off his World Tour this week, IwW Head Trainer, Darren Burridge returned from Italy to find formidable opposition in Party Animal, George McFly. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't wrestling that George wanted to do before the match, but dance as he challenged the cocky Burridge to a dance-off. Burridge was reluctant at first, but after McFly would outwrestle him was eager and the two exchanged move-for-move to the crowd's enjoyment. But while McFly would outdance his adversary, when they got back down to wrestling it would be Burridge who would school McFly and, despite a hard-fought performance, eventually 'The Pukka One' eeked out a hard-fought victory.

'S.O.S.' Seamus O'Shaunessy (w/Irish Dragon) d. 'The Ladies Hero' Dave Zero (w/'The Heretic' Red Vinny) to retain the IwW International Heavyweight Championship

In only his second title defence yet, IwW Champion S.O.S. was stretched to his absolute limit against 'The Ladies Hero' Dave Zero, who boasted the meddling Red Vinny in his corner. Before the match, S.O.S. would call Zero's sexuality into question, teasing him as to whether he was interested in the champion. S.O.S. would then enlist the help of Vinny's arch-nemesis to counterbalance Zero's outside advantage. To nobody's surprise, this didn't stop Vinny from attempting interference at every turn, and coupled with Zero's constant cheating, the title looked to be heading back to Zero's native Blitz Bay when the referee was inadvertantly knocked down by an errand S.O.S. clothesline. This brought in Red Vinny, whose interference weakened up S.O.S. enough for Zero to down him with The Ladies Choice. However S.O.S. would not stay down, kicking out at the very last moment to the joy of the crowd. As the referee struggled to recover, Vinny held S.O.S. for Zero to strike, only for him to be knocked off the apron himself and S.O.S. to hit a Running Powerslam as Dragon took care of Vinny for the victory.

'S.O.S.' Seamus O'Shaunessy won a 25-man Battle Royal to retain the IwW International Heavyweight Championship

Immediately following the S.O.S./Zero match, Darren Burridge would make his way out to the ringside area and said that while S.O.S. was fortunate to escape with his Championship at the inaugural Gym War, he wouldn't be so lucky this time as he would be forced to defend his title against every member of the IwW locker room in an over-the-top rope Battle Royal. Amid a plethora of lightning fast eliminations, all hell broke loose with Mad Man Manson and Bam Katrazz continuing their brawl from earlier in the evening to the car park and Red Vinny sending Dragon a message just one week away from their showdown with a snap suplex on the outside. In the ring, it would come down to Burridge and O'Shaunessy, with Burridge seemingly in control. Burridge would soon grow overly-cocky however, leading S.O.S. to counter an attempted clothesline with a back body drop over the top-rope and, against apparently insurmountable odds, retain the IwW International Heavyweight Championship.

On Sunday 29th May 2005, Irish Whip Wrestling will present 'D-Day' at the SFX Arena, Dublin. Featured on the card will be an IwW International Heavyweight Championship match between Seamus O'Shaunessy and D'Lo Brown, the much-anticipated Three Stages of Hell match (first fall: pins only, second fall: submissions, third fall: falls count anywhere) with Red Vinny taking on Irish Dragon, Darren Burridge goes one-on-one with Doug Williams in what should be a technical masterpiece and in an Ireland vs. Scotland challenge, The Party Animals (Bam Katrazz and George McFly) take on 'The Highlander' Colin McKay and Jay Phoenix of British Championship Wrestling fame.
