Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Women's Wrestling Dead?

Has anyone noticed that Trish Stratus, the Women's Champion, has been out for several weeks yet remains the Women's Champion? Don't WWE rules state that if a champion is unable to defend his/her belt within a month then they must forfeit the belt? This happened to Edge last year when he was IC champion you might recall. Why hasn't Trish been stripped of her belt? Instead of doing that, the WWE have apparently scrapped women's wrestling altogether. Personally I don't mind this as the WWE are lacking in proper women wrestlers anyway and I feel Raw is better without these matches.

However I feel this gives TNA a boost. I've read today that TNA intends to use Gail Kim, Jazz and Molly as semi-regulars. These three are better than anyone in the WWE with the possible exception of Victoria. This means that TNA have surpassed the WWE when it comes to Women's wrestling. I wonder if the WWE will regret how they have treated the women's division?

I would agree that WWE has little or no interest in the womens division. Why else would they let their best stars go? it's all about the eye candy these days. As for Molly I read that she took a year out to tend to a sick relative and she's alowed back to wwe when she feels ready. Suprise me if she went to TNA.

I heard that story about Molly too but I also heard she was quite annoyed that there was to be another Diva Search competition. The WWE have been lousy towards women wrestlers though. The only reason they have stuck by Trish is because she is a decent bit of eye candy.

As long as your a women, good looking, nice T & A ? and also PlayBoy wants you to appear on their very next issue, you can be part of WWE.........

I tune into watch wrestling and sometimes I get T & A stuck in my face, the women's title is a joke, if it wasn't why don't they have one on SmackDown? The poor women of the WWE are nothing but sex objects, its used to sell a Show a PPV, pull more ratings = more money that's the bottom line!

Look at the women of wrestling in Japan, a whole different world!

I agree with you maxtrax. Personally, I don't see the point of all these divas in tight fitting clothing. If people wanted that they could just watch porn instead.

Ok my testicular fortitude could be called into question after this but here goes. As much as I like TnA and I do, portraying all the divas as just sluts actually does n't really appeal to me. An example at raws last ppv they lined all the girls who were in the diva shoot about 8 or so of them. I noticed that the ones that the crowd did nt know although they look hot got fairly teppid reaction. Lilian Garcia on the other hand who in comparison to the others is the poster girl for class got a really good reaction. I guess my point is it means more to see Lilian in a bikini then it does say Christy because Lilian job description is n't queen slut.
So on to the topic I think Vince has got it wrong. Yes wrestling fans want to see hot woman. But hot woman with an actually talent/personality/wrestling ability are always good too.

yeh bring back bull nakono and bertha faye......... actually no dont. wwe's womens matchs make me sick i dont see the point in them at all and for that matter either do my male freinds . crazy women wrestlers in japan though only ever saw the add for it on twc and there in ring abilitly looks better than half the smackdown roster

I disagree. Womans wrestling has moved on just a bit from Bull Nagono, Bertha Faye and Lei Lani Ki. Is it as good as the mens ? Hell no but I think people like Victoria, Trish and Molly brought alot more credibility to their division and all their work has been wasted.

It's very inconsistant. I mean sometimes it thrives then it just goes into a heap, then it gets going again and then it goes crap again. It's going to be stuck in a rut so long as Diva searches are on the agenda. The only women wrestlers WWE have now are Victoria (nowhere to be found), Lita (totally out of title pic) Trish (champion and injured) and Melina (smackdown thus ineligible). I wouldnt really class Dawn, Torrie and Christie as theyve yet to really prove themselves.
