Can anybody give me some advise about a nipple piercing? I got it done nearly 3 years ago and it still hasn't healed. At first the piecer put a ring in it and it was too small. I got that removed nearly a year and a half ago and got a bar instead. Still no joy with the healing. Its kept clean and I don't let people hang out of it too much, or too often!! :)

The bar is still in place but it hasn't had a day of not oozing since I got it done. All my other piercings healed fine but this is doing my nut in! :) 3 years is just messing!!

To the OP I'd go to a piercer and get that looked at, the only ones that I'd trust with something like that are Snakebite.
To LadyJ, nipples can take up to 2 years to heal completely, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Sea salt soaks all around lads and ladies :D

hmm...yeah, go to a piercer, I have mine done over a year now, and it's perfect..it can be hard at first when wearing tight tops or the fact, if you'[re a girl your bra will make it hard for the piercing to breath..mine healed up relatively well though!

It's possible that the balls on your nipple bar are too large. Where did you get it pierced?

I got it done in Templebar Meltamophasis. I have to say they are the more ignorant shower in there. Its beyond belief how the blonde english girl got a job. She couldn't be anymore nasty to people coming in off the street. I wouldn't go near the place again.............

Nipple piercings can take up to a year and above to heal fully, but three years is pushing it a bit methinks. It's possible that your body just doesn't agree with it and is refusing to accept it. Also, considering it was originally trying to heal around a ring that was too small, some of the tissue may have been damaged, in which case it's just not going to heal at all.

Try using a saline solution morning and night for a month or so, and if you don't see an improvement I'd advise you to just give your poor body a break and take it out. If you haven't already, you could always get the other one done, or wait until that one heals up and try again (although I will point out that you may have added trouble with healing if you get it done in the same place again because of scar tissue and such - I've had this experience myself).
