I think your photoshop work is obviously at a good enough standard.

Maybe you could try doing more vector style work?

Perhaps you do this already, but it's not obvious from your samples above.

If you can, get a copy of illustrator/corel draw/fireworks and try your hand at logo creation etc. Grab a few pen tool tutorials and off you go!

some very nice stuff, what stands out the most to me is that the text is all tastefully and well done, quite rare on this board. Well done (:

    Cheers for the comments

This sounds stupid but no one ever told me what exactly vector work was i have a fair idea but if maybe you could show me a sample piece of vector art?

    Thanks Again

Art made up of mathamatical lines as opposed to pixels. The only choice for proper logo work etc. Think airline safety diagram cards for examples of vector art.

    great stuff DeBeere...

you could add the sig you crafted for me to your show case. Alot of people really really like it.

emm... the original, not the one i've since butchered. :D

That's fantastic, the only thing that looks out of place is the earring.
    It just looks wrong.

I'm not trying to put you down here... the logo's look very nice and as Sionn said the placement and colouring of the text is nicely done. But in all honesty, the web layouts show you up. Try doing stuff that isn't found on every single step-by-step tutorial site out there. Try doing something unique.

Thanks for all the help guys

Those were the only templates i've ever made (calvin and hobbes was the first) they all haven't been used either. One thing though i never used a tutorial for templates for any of them. Didn't realise i was making them the same way. But ill try

sionnach that one of your friend is sweet......why don't you have a showcase...if you do please point me in the direction.

    Cheers, DeBeere

Very nice sigs DeBeere, think they could do with a splash more colour but that's just me :)
They're nice and clear, well compressed and uncluttered.

I've become very curious about what the most predominant program in use by members is now... I believe I shall set up a poll.
