The stargate game, Stargate-The Alliance, seems to be progressing nicely. A demo of it was shown at E3. You can find a trailer of it at http://www.stargate-thealliance.com/main.php?lang=en

Article on it at the inquirer: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=2350

"The games graphics are based on a heavily modified version of the Unreal 2 engine" hmmm... think they would be using a newer engine. seems there is going to be an xbox version, probably the reason for using this engine.

I feel the Halo engine would have been much more suitable.

Also, here's a less biased, but more honesy (brutally honest) review of what was on offer at E3.

    Greetings,

I am new to these boards, however I am a dead serious fan of SG and SGA. The FSF group that I am involved in has several sim going it the SG genre and I just wanted to let all those who post here about it. I personally host the SGC mesaage board simulation and our group website can be found at

Hmmm. I'm usually sceptical to people's off-site links to Stargate / Sci-Fi communities, but in this case I'm prepared to leave the post above as-is. Its fairly relevant to the discussion at hand, and it doesn't appear to be intended to scam anyone.

    Carry on.

Yeah FSFDuke, any chance you could go into more detail about what your first post/game is about. I'm just a little bit confused with what you/ye are offering.

Indeed it would be nice to respond because it would indicate that you're not a spam bot and would not have to be executed by an angry ixoy...

I heard that the publisher droped SGA because the developer was not producing the game to a high enough standard

ah no way are you serious...i've been looking forward to it for ages. I think instead of the Unreal Engine or even halo they should have went with the Source Engine...just imagine the light bloom and HDR on the gate!
