what a joke.
No one should be jealous... I'm a Sheffield Wednesday fan and I was nearly in tears supporting the pool on Wednesday watching that comeback. I honestly thought they were going to come back at half time.... (I'm kicking myself I didnt place a bet on it.... I already had a nice 16-1 bet for them to lift it).
There's so many Man Utd and Arsenal fans here in Ireland that are jealous and make snide remarks - yet it seems the fans in England are ready to congratulate Liverpool more readily for their wonderful acheivement.
This was evident on the 606 phone show on BBC 5 live after the show... so many fans of other teams ringing in the congratulate the pool.
If you really are a football fan, you have to recognise the greatness the pool have achieved.

Did yee actually read it all? Most of the posters were saying the header was stupid and pool deserved all the credit they get and that they really Really want the CL themselves...fair play to a lot of the Gooners on it i think..(tho there were def some yank muppits on it too tho!)

As mentioned in other thread Im Shef Wed fan as well and I was cheering on Liverpool even thou them and Arsenal are the 2 clubs I dont really like....not sure why but just do.......Arsenal I hate because of the year they beat us in the 2 cup finals....Liverpool Im not sure why but maybe just a few supporters of Liverpool I have met are muppets

Anyway I wouldnt worry about the Americans.....anyone listening to Spin 1038 to Wally drongo and the other bloke.....where making a mock call up to Glazier.....very funny but will tell you about what Americans know about "soccer"!

By the way calling the CL meaningless is just some muppet having a sulk tbh. I am an Arsenal fan and I would love to have had the opportunity to see Arsenal play in the final let alone win it.

Its hard to say which comeback was better.

You're comeback was immense in the sense that it was 3-0 down, but you only came back to 3-3 and won on penos.
While Man Utd's comeback was from 1-0 but to 2-1 in like 4 mins.

I'd say your comeback was better, but only because your preformance in the first half was worse, if you know what I mean.

A few of us were in liverpool for it and it was one of my best experiences ever at half time when we were down and out and well beatin , people just got louder the singing got more intense and its hard to explain , im still in shock that we won , 3-0 nil down to AC Milan 45 min left one of the best teams in the world and we created the best come back ever seen in the CL, were back and with a bang give it 2 yrs of benitez magic and we will be pushing for the the league , he has money to spend and now its liverpools turn to come back and win more titles

Liverpools comeback was better IMO. They appeared to be dead and buried at half time , United were not in that position and knew a goal would bring keep them in the game.

We are well use to the bitching we find it rather funny how other team forums are rather jealous of what liverpool done , if it was man u who won like that you would never hear the end of it same with chelsea fans, and i think alot of other peoplew ould agree, so if your not a liverpool fan WE ARE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS and we done it in style that no other english team can match up to the present moment , but if any team can match what liverpool done a majoiry of liverpools fan would stand up and clap
