Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi - Laptop at home, XP

Dialup connection to internet via ocean free

Most sites work ok via iexplore6 or firefox102 - however any Search engin i try to start ( google, yahoo, lycos etc ) i get a page up with just the word

    soon ...

    Very odd.

The only search engine i can start up is search.msn.com

I was wondering if its a microsoft embedded thing in XP blocking me ?

ran AVG and Adaware scans just in case its due to spyware or virus.

    Thanks

    laurence

i hadevnt had any problems with the MS Beta one. Going to make ssome money out of it when it expires as ill have to go update on people computers where i have installed it.

Id check Spybot search and destory and spywareblaster (this prevents spyware but does not remove it. Ill would not install this until you solve your current infection issues) as its take a snapshot of a spyware free computer and you can restore back to that if you get infected.
