Did you seriously get 560 in the mocks?! Thats incredible! I thought I was great with my 470! If I got that in the mocks I wouldnt do a stroke of work between them and the real exam! By the way does anybody know of anyone who got lower in the real thing than in the mocks? I'm so scared thats gonna happen to me!

not trying to scare you, but i know of a good few people who went down pointswise in the real thing..I suppose they thought they were ok when they got pre results and didnt keep it up....:(
im hoping to go up 20 to get my second choice.
It might be just me but did anybody else put down completely unattainable courses as their number one, "just in case..." ?!

I got a dreadfull 160 points in hte mocks. I think I need about 350 points for an Honours Degree in computer science. I'm fairly screwed unless I go for the level 7 or possibly even the level 6 courses instead.

I need 300 in me leaving. Got 245 in mocks and did **** all. I do 3 pass subjects so I hope I'll be alright.

    got 455 mocks
need 485 based on 2004 points

so need to pull up by 30 points, difficult enough when i seen some papers night before. Biggest regret doing that now, cos i'm not sure where i stand.

Scraped a pass with no study in higher maths, but ever since i've been practicing a lot but i'm not sure it makes a difference. Kind of regret not dropping down to Ordinary to spend more time on other subjects. Completed paper 1 with an hour and a half to go. Round the same for paper 2. I still hope to get C1 possibly B3. But thats hoping. ;) Just to have it as a fall back subject, in case of a dodgy paper on history or even geography.

history is sooooooooo going to be dodgy, i have a bad feeling.
still hopin for an A in geography though, but i'd settle for the B!

May i ask what course you need 360 for?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,677 ✭✭✭Waltons

Wow, it's gone down. Comp Sci through arts in UCD. It's 340 now but might fluctuate a bit (downwards probably given recent trends). Scholarship was 530 last year so hopefully it'll stay the same or just change a bit.

You're kinda on the same boat as me.

I'll be doing Science in UCD and I need 530 too for the same reason.
