Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Stupid scenes #1

The Buster Keaton -esque droid factory scene from SW ep2 which basically consists of Anakin & Padme...

    1) Entering a droid factory production floor.
    2) Dodging lots of Geonosians, Mechanical-arms, vats of molten-metal & pressing-machines for a couple of minutes.
    3) Successfully navigating said perils only to be caught 5 seconds later by JangoFett.

WRT to the scene , sure it's fun, humourous and well executed but it still beggars the question 'eh, what was the the point of all that?' Worse that that tho It doesn't push the story/plot along and it's so slapstick that it drags the remainder of the film down to its silly jokey level making it impossible to take stuff like the clone battle / sabrefights seriously after what has just transpired.

I think it's the kind of scene that might have worked well in an Indiana Jones film but it's just not SW imho.

    I HATE that scene.

The 'emotional' scene in matrix revoltions (no spelling mistook) that had me pissing my self laughing. You know the one, when Keanu say 'Oh no!'.

That is quite possibly my favourite pre titles JB scene ever. Pure

Roger Moore was and always will be The Saint. The second worse James bond ever after Dalton imo too

    So you're a Lazenby fan, eh ? :p

As far as War of the Worlds goes, Speilberg has said in a recent interview that he's changed the ending slightly, so its less of a "default" ending.

Maybe humans develop the virus to kill the aliens this time or something?

I make no apologies for ruining the ending. The book has been in print for 107 years, not to mention the radio adaption, the film adaption and a crappy TV series in the 80's.

In AvP where the woman and the predator run off out of the temple 'into the sunset'.

How did Princess Leia become a Princess?

Also, i'm sorry for not having read War of The Worlds over the last 100 years or so, but it doesn't take a whole load of effort to add the spoiler function.

I too am a bit disappointed at the lack of the use of spoiler function in this thread. Thanks for spoiling War of the Worlds for me.

If I was to list of the ending to every movie Ive seen for the last ten years would that be ok? Its been out ten years, you should have seen it.

Im talking to you Fenster. Goon.
