    was just reading in the other thread about counting down the days to the leaving, and it looks like people are pretty far apart in age when they're sitting the exams.....
    Its news to me, cos my year are all the same age so just wondering-

    what age are you?!

    I'm not doing the LC this year but... I was 19 the year I did it.
    Damn stupid mandatory transition year, just ended up smoking wacky tobaccy for the entirety of it. Complete and utter waste of time..

    Means I will quite likely be 28 leaving college if all goes well and I go on to do a PhD.

    I was 17 and a half when I did it last year. It's great cause I'll be a fully qualified pharmacist when I'm only 22 (all going according to plan!). I skipped TY cause it would have done my head in, I preferred academic study and exams to projects and stuff.

    cannibal ox what course u going for? Must be worth repeating for.

    Repeating would be so hard for me because there are 2new courses : geog and history, and slight changes to irish. I've always said i'd rather get my first choice or repeat but after all the hard work another year just seems too much.
