Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

audio sync problems...

I took some footage (c60mins) in, compressed on the fly to mpeg2. Brought it into premier pro to cut some bits from the start and end, then exported it using the adobe media encoder as mpeg2-dvd (uses the main concept codec)

anyway, fired it into dvd maestro and compiled, problem is, when i play it there is an audio sync problem, in parts you hear the people talk before their mouth moves. Now i've tried starting the audio a few frames after the video, currently have it starting 11frames after the video, but in parts the sync problem is still noticeable yet in other parts not...

The original mpeg file the audio is perfect and no sync problems, so hence the assumption that it is a premier problem. Now i've done this many times on shorter run 10,20, 30 mins and never had a problem like this..

I've tried it a couple of times taking the audio as both pcm and mpeg layer 2, but still the same problem... any ideas?

I imagine it'd be a problem encoding it on the Fly. Where the Video Bit rate is increased, for shots with lots of movement/fire etc, the audio will encode faster and could lead to sync problems. For freeview, they use a MASSIVE computer to encode to Mpeg.

Why are you compressing it to Mpeg 2?

Sounds like sync drift. try encoding them as six ten minute pieces and join em together afterwards.
