Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Backlash are happy to announce the first in a series of nights incorporating live acts with
Backlash DJ's
BL//01 is a showcase of the label that started the disco-punk revival, Gomma Records, with
a WhoMadeWho live show and a DJ set from Munk, Markus Lambkin, Philth & in the bar Steve
Reynolds & Romo.
WhoMadeWho are the band responsible for last year’s most popular electro cover version: a
snarling punk take on Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction”, which was played by everyone from 2manydjs
to The Glimmer Twins. In the last 12 months these wacked out Danes have duck walked their way
into the electro-rock elite, supporting Soulwax at huge shows in Paris and Berlin and getting
snapped up play numerous Vice Magazine Parties and the upcoming Sonar Festival. Far from being
yet another boring rock band with a synthesiser, WhoMadeWho’s live show is a full on party.
It’s pop music, rock music, italo-disco and funk all rolled into one.
But that’s not all. Munk’s set on the night will be a rare chance for Irish people to check out
some disco-punk DJing from a duo who are true pioneers of the sound. The Munk boys have released
numerous acclaimed singles on Gomma, including a collaboration with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy.
They’ve also remixed for stalwart European labels like Klein, Playhouse, and Ladomat.
Also DJing is New York based Marcus Lambkin. He is the DFA’s official tour DJ and as such regularly
supports The likes of The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem which will give you good idea of what to expect
Tipping things back in the Dublin direction are Philth, Romo, and Steve Reynolds from Backlash which
has been the Thursday night success story of the last 12 months.
