Yeah he's touring with Slayer but that means he won't be playing with Fantomas (who are on June 15th in the Village). They've got to make do with Terry Bozzio instead :D

No, I think Terry Bozzio is guest drumming because Dave Lombardo is touring with Slayer.
The Dublin gig is on Wednesday 15 June in the Village. Tickets are €20!

    Not just sure, completely positive.

Oh and the rumor is true. Dave Lombardo will be on the road with his adult contemporary band Slayer at the same time, so the legendary Terry Bozzio will be filling in! Should be quite a show.

what's up with fantomas tickets? are they on sale? ticketmaster.ie don't seem to think so, which is pissing me off to no end.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

They're not on ticketmaster, they're on www.tickets.ie which is the good twin of the ticket providing agents.

I really liked the first album I heard by them..forget the name, the album with the one song, something Cordia.. The recent album is sort of love it or hate it material

    Patton's a legend though!

Everything they've done is love or hate. It's kind of a Patton trademark.

    Bozzio?
    Lombardo?
    This is insanity!!!!
    I'm nearly creaming myself already.
Incidentaly, I bought my tickets direct from the Village and they were 20euros which is 1euro cheaper than Sound Cellar.
    So there.
    Rock On.

That was an excellent gig, well worth €20 anyway!
I've never been in The Village for a show before (since it stopped being the Mean Fiddler anyway), did anyone else think the sound was a bit dodgy?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

I thought the vocals were a bit low in the mix all right

i thought the sound was grand.
does it matter that much about the vocals, though in all fairness?
its not as if you can sing along to it hehe

There was some people around me trying to "sing" along to the Cape Fear theme, which was amusing :)

you can sing along to "the omen"... though it is latin
