I'm awaiting the results of my finals in Elec Eng from UCD, and was wondering if anybody has any tips on how best to start looking for work!

So far my search has been limited to company fliers on bulletin board in college.

I suppose I'm looking for some sort of specialist recruitment site or a place where all, or at least a lot of engineering companys post positions.

Gradireland is a handy one for jobs specific to graduates, but you wont go wrong at least by signing up to irishjob.ie and monsterjobs.

Personally in my own area of Eng, i have found it difficult to get that first place but you as an electronic eng should not have to much trouble from what i can see.

best of luck in your search!

yeah we always put ours up on irishjobs and cpl/sigmar are good for recruitment but in general only for experienced people. your best bet is to call up all the elec companies and ask them about graduate recrutiment, they usually run it seperate from normal recruitment, keep an eye on the papers too.
i got my first job out of college through the noticeboards and the like..
