Haven't heard of the man to be honest...

Personally (I'm prob in the wrong thread, but be sure I'll go and have a little rant in the other one soon too!) I love Mark from good ould celestial. May not be the best, but he's done about 80% of my work which, is a HUGE amount. I've always found him great to work with and he's always open to new suggestions and ideas. catch him on a good day and he's completely deadly... One word of warning. Do NOT piss this guy off. :D

Anyone know where one can get surface piercings done in Cork city? I want to get the nape of my neck pierced and was thinking of going to Tattoo Zoo as most people reckon it's the best, but was told that they don't do surface piercings. Where else is good, professional and willing to deal with a scared, quivering n00b?

Tattoo Zoo don't do them and their piercer just left them the week before last and unless she's doing weekends for the moment, I don't know if they have any regular piercer at the mo. As far as other places in Cork, there's a couple that will do surface piercings. But none that have sufficent experience in surface work, in my opinion. But, if you really want it, the only place I'd suggest is Maria in Triple x, but I'd honestly say your better off to travel up to Dublin or somewhere else to get someone who does them on a regular basis to pierce you.

The only person I'd trust with something like that would be Justin Russell in Zulu, he's really head and shoulders above the rest of them for colour.

Thanks Blub2k4. I have an something in mind combining these two images. I'd like to get done as a sleeve.

I think I go in and have a chat with him and tell him what I have in mind.

Has anyone here had work done by Justin Russell?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭amazingemmet

I haven't got any work done by him but lots of friends have and he's the only person i'd recomend for that sort of colour work.

Anyone have any reviews of South Ink in Rathmines?

I've had a few done there, in their old premises beside the alteration shop, and the new one over the barber/hairdresser, and one done in Snakebite. The results of the Snakebite one is waaaaay better, South Ink ones have had to refilled.
As well as that I'm none too impressed with the privacy in South Ink, a net curtain between the waiting area and tattooing area, and beside the window for all upstairs on the 18 bus to see  nice...

Is there a MetalMorphosis outside Dublin? I have a vague idea that there's one in Limerick or something but I might have dreamed that...

Does anyone know anyone who does full depth implants, big types like Erik Sprague and Mr Lifto types etc, on heads, faces and body, in the Leinster area?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1 StephenS

    Hey Xochi

I believe the authority on implants in Ireland is a guy called Glen who runs a studio on the northside! He is supposed to be extremely well versed on the whole subject and a great piercer, but a pal of mine who worked with him described him as the most a-moral person he had ever known and said thank god we have a criminal law because there is nothing glen wouldn't do if the urge took him!

That aside, I'd say look him up at least for advice!

    Cheers

    Stephen Sheridan:D

Guys, If this is the same guy I'm thinking of, yes he's very good at what he does! I'm sure he's on the southside in some sort of sex-shop though, if it's the guy I met! He's covered in implants and supposed to be very friendly, but I remember I was in there once with the girlfriend and there was quite a scenario going on! Some father was in raving about his 17 year old son getting the tongue done and I saw Glen say something very odd to him which just totally struck him dumb and he left shaking. Don't know what the hell happened but it looked like something off a black magic movie. Very powerfully willed guy with strange eyes and huge muscled lumpy arms! Wierd!

    Thanks folks

I'm interested in these silicon type stars which are apparently available in the US so I'll try to look that guy up, do we know if he's north or southside, and I will wear a cross for the first vist thanks!

    Haha!:p
