"The real reason John Reynolds (Torgo) appears to have big knees and walks funny is because his character is supposed to be a satyr. Reynolds designed his own prosthetics to make himself look like he had goat's feet. (Note how the wife gasps when she first looks down his feet, which the viewer does not get to see.)"
haha that sounds fairly bad alright.

The worst film I ever saw I think was Battlefield Earth with John Travolta.

First off, how can anyone include Eraserhead in the list of worst films of all time?! This is sacrilidge. It's one of the most unusual and original cult movies of all time. A true classic.

    Second, as for:
The worst film i've ever seen in terms of my personal tastes is "Napoleon Dynamite" but in terms of script, acting and general badness it's got to be "Bram Stoker's Dracula" resplendant(sp?) with Keanu Reeves in all his "moving-my-head-from-side-to-side-and-looking-confused-is-all-the-acting-anyone-could-ever-need" glory
Napoleon Dynamite was another highly original and low-budget film. Did very well, and I had a lot of time for it. As for Dracula, this is an all time classic. It's the closest Dracula adaptation to the original book, and has some sterling performances by Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins. Granted, it also has Keanu Reeves, but let's face it, he's a face thrown it to make the ladies feel good about coming to a horror movie!

As for my worst films of all time, I'd have to say Elektra (2004), The Flintstones (1994), Dune (1984), Police Academy: Mission to Moscow (1994), Street Fighter (1994). These movies are so bad, I believe the U.S. military uses them to torture their victims in a Clockwork Orange style manner!

    WTF? At least its original.
Worst movie has to be Men in Black II. Try as i might i cannot find the point of this 'film'

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,217 ✭✭✭FX Meister

The point of MIB II was to make money, that's all. 40 YOV was not very original at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 345 ✭✭thejovialhost

Good point, still doesn't change the fact its pure crap. Worst movie ever, which is what the board is asking for.
    What's wrong with 40 YOV?

    Mullholland Drive by David Lynch.

Its Arty Pretentious **** - hes a perv - hes got no cinematic style, all he does is play with narritve and cock up 2 hours of your life - put probably more because you'l enevitably try to watch it again to try to understand it.

the film makes no sense no matter how many times you view it. Your supposed to make up your own explanation - which is total bullcrap because what ever you come up with is contradicted by one scene or other.

I hate this film with a pasion and if you try to defend it your no better then David Lynch himself.

This thread should be titled "What is the worst movie YOU have ever seen?" because there are hundreds of films worst than every single film posted in this thread so far!

So basically you're right in your small minded assumption, and anyone who would say anything to the contrary is not only wrong, but contemptable? Fantastic reasoning right there.

I personally enjoyed the film a lot, and the narrative made quite a lot of sense to me. I'm really beggining to get into more abstract films like that of David Lynch.

Supersize Me. WTF!!!...I'm going to eat McDonalds for a month and only McDonalds to prove its unhealthy for you. Muppet. If they ask me do I want it Supersized I have to say yes. Say NO. I have proven that if you eat McDonalds only you will gain weight and be sick. What a toss pot.
The guy who made this should be beaten to an inch of his life and then tossed into a snake pit.

In no particular order - from the top of my head....

    1. Cruel Intentions - proof that the Americans have difficulty with irony and subtlety
    2. The Specialist - "Stone & Stalone" - the most cringe inducing sex scenes ever!
    3. The Pelican Brief

Unusual and original it may be, but it's a load of ****. And i'm a big Lynch fan. Eraserhead is without a doubt one of the ****test films i've ever had to drag myself through.

Inspector Gadget and Battlefield Earth are two films that were really really bad. Inspector Gadget pissed me off particularly because I loved the series... Sometimes I wonder how these scripts get off the ground.

    all troma movies are classics.

my worst films would be black dog (whoever decided it'd be a good idea to put patrick swayze, randy travis and meatloaf together in a film deserves the good ol' fork in the eye), mrs. doubtfire , over the top, oh yeah, and cliffhanger

Nope. Eating only whats on the menu in a fastfood diner will be unhealthy for anyone. Not drinking water, advised by his doctor, which is on their menu just for the "dramatic effect". Not saying no when the staff ask do you want it supersized. Why pick McDonalds to conduct this experiment. Simple....publicity. What have we learned that we did'nt already know from this "movie". Sweet FA!
