Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cork City Vs Finn Harps

Cork City eased 4 points clear of Derry City at the top of the eircom league with an overly comfortable 2-0 win over relegation certainties Finn Harps at Turners Cross. City pretty much dominated form the open minute, and Harps cause was not helped by the red card to Bradley after 11 minutes for a professional foul on Kevin Doyle who was clear through on goal (though to be fair, Doyle made the most of it). City peppered the Harps goal, and if it hadnt been for some top drawer goal keeping, Harps would have been dead and buried by the 25th minute.

It took City around 40 mins to finally find the net, and who else by Super Kevin Doyle, who quickly made it 2 nil after this.

In the 2ns half, City pretty much stopped playing. Harps were rudderless, and were no threat whatsoever. City werent going for the 50/50s, werent sprinting after long passes, nothing, but still could have had another 2 or 3, but for Harps superb keeper.

All in all, it was a very pleasent evening. Best attendance of the season by some way as well, with approx 5500 in attendance.

Standing ovation from everyone when Doyle was subbed with 15 minutes to go. This guy is really a special player, and watch him take the Championship by storm next season. Im really sad to see such a talented player leave City for peanuts. Citys loss is Readings gain. At least he gave us all a great farewell present.

The crisis club are now 4 clear, 5 clear of Shels.

There were no protests outside Turners Cross this evening!

Noone could want that scumbag back now! Good result for Cork, even up to last year they'd have thrown that game away, but there's still plenty of time... ;):D
