Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone used the wifi hotspots provided by Eircom ? What kind of speeds are you downloading at ? 100k ?

I recently bought a Netgear 108Mbs Wireless PC CArd. What kind of data transfer rates can I expect to get with Eircon WIFI hotspots

I have one right outside my window in Ranelagh but I can't connect to it properly at all. It seems to be intermittent. It may depend on the polarization of the antennae becuase I'm above the phone box and it may be horizontal. It gives me an IP address but doesn't stay connected for long enough to try it. WiFi is a pretty poor platform anyway when the transmitter is in such a built up area. I'm goin to try a palm pilot at ground level soon
