Well there was just a number of things im wondering about:
    1. Are we allowed bring our mobile phones with us? I have a pretty nice phone and knowing my luck if i gaveit to someone like the attendant or whoever it would get lost or swiped or something. Just keep in your pocket like?
    2. Are we allowed bring food/drink in with us?
3.Are we allowed use the bathroom is there a set amount or something to go?

I know i had mre yesterday.... ill post em later.

if the phones turned off shouldnt really be a prob as long as they dont see it!! yeah u can bring food/drink!! but not a picnic!!!! and ur not really supposed to use the bathroom but are allowed once everyones not leaving for the toilet!!!

if the phones turned off shouldnt really be a prob as long as they dont see it!!

The first thing they will tell you on the first day is to leave your mobile outside with the supervisor. So if you're caught with it, even if it's off, well, let's just say it wouldn't improve the situation.

They have been to told to do that, but it may very well depend on the supervisors you get. Howver both of the times I worked as an attendant everyone was told to leave their mobiles outside.

And how would the supervisor know it's off? They would have to check everyone's pocket. Do you see the problem?

Im guessing its the same procedure as the junior cert.
In the junior cert, I just brought a bag with me, and put my jacket, mobile, notes etc into it.
Everyones belongings are left in the main hallway outside, and they have 3 or 4 girls from the school guarding it.

When someone needs to go toilet, one of these girls accompnies them.

I wouldnt chance bringing my mobile in.
    State exam and all that....

    xx

but if they dont see it in the first place... ie phone safely in pocket before u go into the exam hall!!!

Yes but they will tell you to leave it outside, just in case you have it on silent or something. They wouldn't wanna take any risks.

That's why you should leave it at home.

What exam was on today?? Thought tmrw was the beginning...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,600 ✭✭✭Cutie18Ireland

well for me leaving it at home isnt an option or i wont get home!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 132 ✭✭rasher_b2

Why do lots of people seem to have the need to bring a phone in? It's an exam so you're not going to need it. Might as well just leave it at home. If you need it for something important after the exam I'm sure you could use the schools phone.

tomorrow is the begining of the end.

the star daily ran an article today wishing good luck to all leaving certs. sitting there english papers today.

Then you're going to have to take the risk!

Or you could kindly ask one of the supervisors to mind it.

Is my school the only school making the students wear their uniforms???

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 311 ✭✭<Jonny>

No, we have to wear uniforms too.

They also made us wear uniforms if we wanted to come in for extra classes - even when there was no one else in school.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 41 SineadSligo

    That is so gay!!
I hate the way the uniform "represents the school."
    Bull****.
The examiners dont care, and people who see us in town wearing it, think "Poor souls, sitting their leaving cert" - not "What a remarkable school".

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,713 ✭✭✭Cianan2

Wheres the comfort factor in that?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,585 ✭✭✭honru

I'd honestly fúck the uniforms tbh.

Really, they're not going to make you go back home and change.

You left the school two or three weeks ago. They hardly own you now.
