    Hey,

Just wondering what' sthe best course of action to start learning about print graphics.

Also, is it worth going into the print design business or would web design be more profitable?

    - Kevin, thinking ahead.

Don't do it if its just for the money. You'll need a love for it.

Well I love doing graphics and design stuff in general. I'm just wondering if there's a major difference in earnings between the two that I should consider.

Well, the principles behind the two are the exact same, the delivery mediums have different rules to be honest. I'd say go for print graphics and then learn the rules of web graphics after. A print graphics course will teach you more about design than a web design course will. Don't be fooled though, irish art colleges are a tad pants at this stage imho. Get a good list of books to support yourself or bugger of to switzerland and study there.

Yeah, web design is better paying but only slightly.
You gotta understand that web is a brand new media, as compared with print which has been around for centuries.

As a result web is abit unorginised, just exactaly where ur job starts and ends is not a set thing, You'll be nabed for doing html, Content changes, IT ect too ( which gets pretty boring imo )
Every company does things differently cos there is no tested and trialed way to be past down like for say in print.
If you like a bit of programming too, and keeping on top of new technoligy then web designs your thing.
But if u want to only be designing then print would be the better option.
