    Now i know iknow i know u're gonna say that you just hate people sayin does it hurt!!!!!!?????? :eek: all the feckin time, but does it hurt to get your ear pierced at the top? I'm a total whos for sayin it but my relations are tryin to freak me out of doin it and sayin horrible stuff to me !!!!!!!!!!

    This type of thread is banned, so it'll probably be locked or somesuch, but it does hurt, quite a bit. It's an odd kind of pain, warm, like beng bitten very very hard. Not a bad sort of feeling overall though, so don't worry. Make sure you get it pierced with a needle though, or you could be in for a world of arsewaysness afterwards.

    I got my helix (the top) done and it was grand. Just don't think about the pain beforehand, it'll all be over in a few seconds. It'll be impossible to sleep on for a few weeks though, but you can always lie on your hand and leave a gap between your fingers and let your ear rest there, it never touches the pillow. Read the charter too.

    erra..i thought the helix was grand to get pierced, one of my less sore ones...although when i got a scaffold done on my other ear, it hurt, but it was different placement, more of an angle on it...
    but the actual helix..no!
