Guild Wars on pc

Just a quick question. Does anyone know if guild wars can be played over lan ? Or is there a single player missions for this game. I have 56k and am not going to be playing it on line but i would love to have the game if you can play it over lan. Does anyone out there have the game and know the ansers to my questions ?
