I just got a PC after quite some time with a low-spec one, so a few older games alongside the newer...

Deus Ex: Please don't hate me for not getting to play it until now. Really good.

Thief- Deadly Shadows: I loved the first two, this one's also great. Shame about the segmented levels though.

Perimiter: This is really odd, but cool. And quite pretty.

Far Cry: Gorgeous with everything turned up full, and not a bad game to boot.

Morrowind: So big. So very, very big. And fabulous.

Star Wars KOTOR: Also really cool. And OMG Wookies!

Mechwarrior 4 Mercs: I like this. Bit like MW2 Mercs but with much snazzier visuals.

Doom 3: Pretty, but unfulfilling. Rather boring.

And a couple of other small things like ADOM or Dopewars...

PC: Far Cry (Best FPS ever IMO - 2nd time playing, 2nd hardest difficulty - don't think I'll manage the hardest setting)

I managed to clear FarCry on the hardest setting, it's mostly do-able, untill you get to the volcano crater at the very end, and have to fight 6 or so of the huge beasties... being super-pissy and hiding in the small alcove between the two main doors and shooting people in the shoulder is the order of the day.

Still, makes you feel like a small god when you do get past it.
a small, cheap, god, but a god none the less.

Anyway this month i have been mostly playing

Guardian Heros Advance (GBA): kinda disapointed with this, as i cleared it in the four hours or so it took me to get home at the weekend. Good fun while it lasted.

Shining force (GBA): Just started, kinda funky, hopefully it'll make those long journeys to sligo fly by.

    Tales of Symphonia (GC)
probably the best 'cube RPG [Skies of arcadia doesn't count, i owned a DC]

I started playing Tales Of Symphonia over the weekend.

I bought it months ago and just couldn't get into it at the time. But now it has me hooked alright.

And I also playing City of Heroes a bit too... but I haven't been able to play it for a while as the room I keep my PC in has no electricity... I really need to get that fixed this week...

Yeah. It's pretty good... But I'm going to go completely mental if I play one more RPG were I have to escort some pious bint around on a quest to heal the world... I've already done this in Grandia 2 and Final Fantasy X.

I'm only about 9 hours in so I'm hoping the storyline in Tales of Symphonia will open up a bit more soon.

PC: GTA San Andreas - so much better than it was on the playstation
Xbox: Midnight Club 3 dub edition - hasn't been touched since GTA arrived
PS2: Nothing right now... GT4 a while back.

Don't worry. It starts off cliched but gets a bit more interesting along the way. Just don't expect anything mind blowing. It's more about the characters than the story. I got a few laughs at Llyods expense, he's a bit of a plonker :D

PC: Sam and max, gabriel knight, swat 4 and pariah (an absolutley horrible game that I am forcing myself to play just to get it out of the way)

PS2: MGS 3, Gta:Vice city( had to re-visit it one last time)

XBOX: Morrowind and steel battalion (yes i do have the 40+ button controller and it rocks)

Do find myself laughing quite a bit whenever Raine smacks someone over the head...

tis a hell of a lot better than the xbox version as well.
apart from the sudden reboot of my machine a few minutes ago, and a few bugs here and there...

    PS2- MGS 3.
PC- Morrowind. Nothing much new out that interests me at the moment, thinking of going back to Baldurs Gate 2 to clear it again but might not.

PS2 - GT4. bought it today from GAME. Bit suspect about the loyality points on my card as the GAME website said £10 and the guy in the store said €10.

XBOX - Ninja Gaiden. On chapter 10. Taking a break after spawn killing in the aquaducts to upgrade my weapons. Now have the Unlaboured Flawness

GC - Resi 4. Have to finish this even though i've had it since the US release.

World of Warcraft,BF 2 demo,GTR with the odd bit of DOD and COD thrown in.
IMO its a toss between wow and BF2 [judging by the demo] for probably the best games i have ever played on any system.

AGREED here too! Everyone should try to play this, 'tis brilliant!

    For me:

    PC: SWAT4

PS2: Lethal Skies 2; picked it up for 6e and while it's no AceCombat it's a good laugh if a bit short.
GTA:SA; when the disk got a huge scratch on it back in December I wasn't too pushed tbh! I just finished it last week though and even though I know it's better than VC and 3, and I know there's more stuff to do, I just can't be arsed getting 100%!! I'm completely underwhelmed with the game! Maybe it'll be better on the PC!?
Neo-Contra; can't reccomend this highly enough

    GC: Metroid Prime;.... AGAIN

    PC:
F.E.A.R. Multiplayer Beta. - this is so brilliant. Spent way too many hours on it but I just can't stop. The melee moves are so cool, there's no better feeling than running full tilt at a guy blasting away at you, then jumping and scissor kicking him in the face. I still can't stop smiling either.
    Soldier Of Fortune 2
    Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

    PS2:
Def Jam Fight For New York

    Xbox:
    Mercenaries
    Need For Speed: Underground 2

i'm still working on finishing it in one sitting - without a toilet break or anything :)
San Andreas is great and all, but it's just more of the same with some extra bells and whistles. (wow! you can have girlfriends!!!! big ****ing deal.)
not sure if it's worthy of being my game of the year tbh. most definitely second place to resi 4 though.

started playing metal gear solid 2 this afternoon. seems to be 4 years too late... my love affair with mgs is well and truely over :( (i just don't have the patience for stealth games any more)
