    Alleyway to Lynch's bakery.

    Alleyway to Lynch's bakery.

    Next to Joe Broderick's pub.

I shall pass beneath its fond-memoried portico in less than 10 days.
Is it true that the names ( & addresses) of ALL the Saints are inscribed on the cupola?.

( No, I'm wrong. ' Price of a Pint ' is correct on my closer viewing.) No Saints there.

I'm going to Listowel in 2 weeks for the June bank holiday weekend. (Trieneragh to be more specific). Hope to post a few pix. Haven't been here in a while. Sorry about that. I'm not a native, just an appreciative viewer and visitor! To here and Listowel, and Ballybunion!

I also think it is an excellent likeness.
The way he is situated he waves hello as you come from the Square and goodbye as you are heading towards the Square.

Hi All good people from Listowel......We all seem to be from all different times here from when we lived in Listowel.....maybe a good idea for everyone of us to state what year we lived there ( Please do not mention your name .....just a year and stuff etc...) I see all these people here making comments but i have no idea from what time frame.....I will start I did my Leaving Cert in St. Michaels in 1978.

    Hi crab !

As far as I remember "Price of a Pint" we both did our " Leaving Cert" in 1978 and you were not 10 Years of age then, If you were you must have been the youngest person in the History of the Irish State to do that exam, and I do not think that you would have been served a Pint on a Friday night in Joe's with me back then.

I hope this helps. You will need to magnify it to see anything.

OMG a guard wouldn't ask me that. I am IN Listowel since 1975 and I couldn't ask for a better town to blow in to.

I am still keeping an eye on my pupils from 1978. I thought the only place most of you would have got a pint back then was Madge Regan In Lower Church Street. It was supposed to put you off pints for ever and so we did not mind if you went in there even if it was only a few doors down the street.

I came to Listowel in 1973 at the tender age of twenty five. I will also include the link to another past pupil who plays Aussie Rules down under.
