    Census 2002 figures:

    County - 80,339
    of which Male 40,540
    Female 39,799

    City - 20,735
    Thomastown - 1,600
    Castlecomer - 1,482
    Callan - 1,325

    New census being taken next year so am sure all those figures will go up.
