    I have using this program called Game Maker, and found it very easy and powerfull for making games. What so great about it making simple games is free and for $20 it is fully usable you can get it here.

    there are many forums out there helping people out with code, spriting and sounds, so i decided to start my own. There are some free games there made with this program and a very short demo i made of the original Sonic. Game Maker is a good 2d programming tool and is now going more into 3d, it is totally felixible and can be extended with the aid of Dll's. Come to my forum Game Maker Home and see what it can do.
