Sole Trader - Company Car?

I'm a sole trader and want to upgrade my car which is not registered as a business vehicle. Can I purchase a car through my business and claim the VRT? What way does this work. I also work 9-5 (if this changes anything?).

No, you should pay for the car yourself and charge the company a fixed mileage rate

Ah, I see. So I just pay full whack for the car and then charge myself for using it? Sounds reasonable.
