Suicidal urban cyclists

Its the start of the "good weathered" summer season and a lot more part-time urban cyclists are coming out of the woodwork - and I've been seeing a few suicidal ones of late. Today I saw one going into the Blanchardstown M50 roundabout. It was getting dark, and he had no lights - just a helmet and a clapped out old town…

Its the start of the "good weathered" summer season and a lot more part-time urban cyclists are coming out of the woodwork - and I've been seeing a few suicidal ones of late.

Today I saw one going into the Blanchardstown M50 roundabout. It was getting dark, and he had no lights - just a helmet and a clapped out old town bike.

Also, on Thursday I saw 2 urban cyclists in their reflective jackets coming down the N3 - dodging cars as they came down the Mulhuddart sliproad onto the motorway. Its amazing more of these people don't die to be honest.

So - who else is seeing suicidal cyclists, or is it just me?

I see them every day while I am working, the clonskeagh gate to UCD is hotspot
for cyclist's with suicidal tendencies
