Anyone know the one on this thread? Someone mentioned 'Drug Overlord' by Hardfloor but don't know of a track by them with that name... or is is that they remixed a track by that name? - anyway, doesn't sound anything like what Hardfloor would do...

intro is very similar to this intro in it , even though it be nothing to do with it, but alot of tunes have similar pieces in them ,maybe from same producers under different alias etc

Great track that too. And yeah lots of producers under different names can have a similar sound to them.

One I was listening to over the weekend was Oliver Lieb in his various forms, fckin excellent stuff all round but really love his work as Spicelab and this album is a real gem...

Ye,totally agree,I had 60/70 mixes and this tape was my fav and played to death by me.Never made copy,or did and it was nicked too!Do you still have a copy,or if not any chance you can PM full track list to me whenever you have time?I've Id 14 tracks so far and can't remember all tunes as its prolly 12 years since last heard it:(

After couple years now getting tune ids and reading up on Discogs etc , he is the main man i think from that era !!
Whether it be original or remixing tunes..he has produced superb stuff :cool:
Must dig that record out of soulseek :pac:
limited time on YT so cant hear all the tracks :rolleyes:

I'll pop it up if you like later. Yeah all the track are way over the youtube limits.

And he is defo one of the main heads alright from that time, genius for ambient, techno and trance.

I already have mp3 of this and a remix.Its bit similar in parts,but not the tune im looking for.Warren K had it on at least two of his tapes from '93.Same year release,Maybee its one of the other tunes on the E.P?

If it is on the E.P,other than YT were could I get a download Derra?

Soulseek is great for filesharing and plenty of tunes and mixes on www.nioldskool.co.uk but ya gotta upload tunes as well as taking them

Hey,has anyone got a link to where to download old asylum tapes,im looking for one in particular,i think the djs were parsley and tyme and the tape was recorded over a friday and saturday night a couple of weeks before they closed the asylum down.

There was an mc throughout the tape but not sure who it was.

If anyone can help it would be great,nice one lads.

There is loads on this thread if ya search through it and www.nioldskool.co.uk has plenty of mixes from the Asylum Just register and go to the ROI section in the mix exchange and upload anything that is'nt on it that ya have :pac:

Heres a great track to use a phrase Seanyboy used "If your worth your salt" you will remember from the ASYLUM.......no one ever knew what the fu.ck was being said when this was belted out & listening to it now still havnt a clue........just click the link & put in 'Trancesetters' ...........then the first track that comes up should be 'Secrets of meditation' ..........the shi-take mix is great but its not there:mad: but the others a still good to:D

Anyone got this? I've been listening to an old Ian Ossia mix from 1995 and managed to track down the title but can't find an mp3 anywhere on the net. Not sure on the mix I'm after, possibly Way Out West one but not sure.. Would really appreciate any help!

Wow, how good is Lavamus.com!

Yesterday I was asking the forum here if anyone had Bel Canto - Work It Out, a fairly rare house track from 95... and I found it just now on Lavamus!

If you're not familiar with this great website just create a windows Live or Hotmail account, register on Lavamus and they give you $0.15 credit which will buy you 1 track, so technically you can do this many times with different email addresses and download what you like for free!

There's the option to buy credits of course but I'm a stingey bugger. Anyway, for vintage house music and lots more it's a great source and you'll be surprised at what you can find on there. You can also preview all of the tracks before you download them.
