Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fair play on keeping all your tickets. All my tickets and flyers were pinned onto my wall but the ma took them all down and rewallpapered my room when I went to Majorca for 2 weeks - that still pisses me off:mad:

Was the 95 gig I was at. It was my first "big" gig and I loved it though your right about it being somewhat commercialised. I remember a mate of mine handed me a bottle of olibus oil which I put into my pocket but the cap wasn't on right so it spilled. Burned the sac off me

Ha ha yeah it was warm alright. So warm that Deco the barman/bouncer pulled me outside for about 20 minutes saying I was suffering from heatstroke and wouldn't be let in next time unless I attended counselling (he was a counsellor himself). Next time I went up Brian wouldn't let me in so I actually had to attend sessions in order to get in again. the things we did for our Sat night pleasure ha ha......

:pNow here's a tune people! I had this on vinyl, bought in either Music Power or Tag records - can' remember which. Listen to the break man, one of the longest breaks I can remember. Just keeps going on and on :p.
I remember the night it was dropped in the Ormonde people were just staggering around rushing to bits:

    Hi everyone,
Have been reading this thread for a number of weeks now. Thanks for bringing back a lot of great memories. I unfortunately never made it to The Asylum or The Mansion House. For me it was Sides, Grouchos, UFO/Waterfront, Ormonde Multimedia Centre (here every week for about 2 years), Temple Theatre. I'm in the C Quence video that CAF uploaded on YouTube and knew Micko M well back in the day - went to school with him. Warren was always my favourite Irish DJ but loved the others as well.

Just wondering if anyone remembers an Irish band called "Hastis"? They supported N-JOI in the Tivoli in March 94 and were amazing. Mark Kavanagh also supported. I'll never forget when Mark dropped this:

    Or this:

Anyway, thanks for the memories and look forward to taking some more trips down memory lane. Peace out.

Welcome aboard Steo, good to see another Oldskool head on here. Compulsive that reading through the pages. Source of some rare sounds, mixes, photos, videos and just as important; stories. Like yourself I have been to a fair few nights out in Radio City and The Vaults. First one was Ed Case more than 2 years ago. I was finished with the whole thing till I googled Asylum one night and then realized that you will never get it out of your system, just except it and listen to the music;)
Its funny this cause I was only talking to a fella today, never met him before but he went to all the old haunts and he was delighted to hear about this Boards tread and said he couldnt wait to check it out........

Thanks for the welcome seanyboy1. Gas thing is we probably all know each other (to see) from those days. I wonder how many are on here that I used to get great buzz out of week in week out. Sure I used to venture in by myself knowing that once I got in there that I'd have loads of people to have the craic with. Yeah I googled Asylum one day and found this and GENFX's rebuzz.......site and have been hooked ever since.

Brilliant track. I've been searching in vain for a mix tape that ended with this track as I'm looking for the one that played before it - I thought it was a Pressure tape but I swear I've listened to every one of them and haven't found it yet. I'll find it though!

Could've been alright. I had it for a short while, played it on repeat at some session ages ago and then lost it. Would love to hear it again.

I did that me self a couple of times near the end of the ASYLUM's life.......me mates that i went buzzing with into the raves all the time were more & more just hanging out in mates gaffs horseing E's out of it & only going into the raves week on week off & i was telling them it was a waste of time buzzing in gaffs & that the ASYLUM had not got long left to run.......it had been raided a load of times by then & the rumours were around every week or two that it was the last one........no way i was missing the last time it opened its doors so i ventured in on my lonesome a few times near the end cause same as you said i knew i would meet lads we new from Clondalkin, Jobstown, Walkinstown, Ballymun, Crumlin etc etc.......had one amazing experience one of those nights i will never forget,

Was buzzing in tymon park just in front of the basketball arena coincidentally seeing as it was mentioned above on a real sunny day, we were all drinking taking microdots all day & i think i had taken two during that day, i had three grey doves (fairly trippy on there own) & one dot left & was heading into the ASYLUM later that night but didnt have anyone else wanting to go in........i went in anyway & over the course of the night consumed the doves & one more dot & had an amazing night & departed the ASYLUM around 7 or 8 am.......now this was before we had mobile phones so when i got back to greenhills i went to my mates gaff where all my mates would usually be flying on E's & tapped the window (as you did) but they were not there (BALLS!)......i had to go around to my gaff, went around to my gaff & up to my room to skin up & flake for a while until later........after a big roaster i lay back on my bed & tripped that i was back in the park earlier on that day & more or less recounted the whole experience as a trip........i eventually snapped out of it & realiised i had only been tripping for about a half an hour or a little more but my perception of time was if i had been buzzing again for a whole day:eek:.........it was an amazing experience to say the least & when i snapped out of it i had put my TV on before i flaked & Black hole sun by soundgarden was on MTV,

Another roaster smoked & then headed off up to molloys in tallaght i think????
