One of the comments on that YouTube video says it all ;)
words cant even begin to describe the wide range of emotions this tune gives me:
From utterly amazed/goose bumps/happiness/joy all the way to sadness and despair...why the negative? cos I know I'll never have the time from 1990 - 92 again...hearing these (types of) tunes in clubs or the best E with friendly people everywhere was an absolute joy

We'll never see another label like Reinforced records, a vintage and timeless label i don't think they ever released a bad tune.:)

Brilliant label ,one of DnB's finest the role call of acts says it all , 4Hero, Rufige Cru,Goldie, Doc Scott/Nasty Habits,Peshay,Nebula II, Manix etc etc etc ............. infact , hang on a sec

    "Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" :D

    Quote from Discogs
"Through the whole of the 1990's, Reinforced earned, and deserved, a reputation as the most important and innovative Drum n' Bass label in the world. Their limited-edition 'Enforcers' picture discs are now worth more than gold! Maybe a dozen of the scene's most important producers (including Goldie) kick started their music careers with Reinforced...the influence of this label reaches far and wide and now 20 years later... maybe even further"

http://www.discogs.com/label/Reinforced+Records?sort=date%2Casc says it all really

A label thats certainly reinforced my love affair with Jungle n DnB riddims! :)

Fookin loved Kraftwerk back in the 80's :D especially during the b-boy days

    from 1974
    from 1985
    from 1986

Along with Jean Michel Jarre they made it cool to want a keyboard for xmas lol 'Bontempi' anyone? :o

Their style became very "art-deco" in fashion if that sounds right lol, i mean , great music but not to go out dancing too if ya get me, more a visuaudio experience ala Pink Floyd , Daft Punk, Air

....... music to trip your fookin face off too for want of a better expression! :D

I remember alot of peeps going ape sh!t for them back around 92 but they were right 'up there' with 2 Unlimited and KLF in my book  .....god I used to pi$$ meself laughing at the lyrics and your mans voice. Fookin tunes mighta been alright if he just shut the fook up!

Ha Bontempi, think that was one of the first keyboards in my house, I did progress though to a Yamaha which I thought was the absolute dogs bollix at the time, loved lashing out Axel F and the likes on it! :pac:

Yeah the Germans certainly were ahead of the game when it came to electronic music then, as discussed in the other thread the Krautrock stuff was great in the 70s and 80s - so much of the synth stuff from the likes of Klaus Schulze was like early trance without the unz, unz, unz... take this from 1976.

Re: Ultrasonic , I am guilty of owning this one :o

.......but atleast it isn't this ....

Were we all fookin deaf bitd? how did they get away with crap like this? obviously there are parts in each that are actually ok to listen to (or use) but for the most part it's just total shiote!! and the term 'MC' has to be a loose term (a very fookin loose term in these cases) lol

I can only assume that some 'ravers' in their confused state after hearing a certain tune went out and bought the first tune they saw that they thought was by the same act.......I'm speaking of course of this fookin gem of a tune in my opinion

The musical 'hug' we all needed at the end of a great night when the chemicals have steered their path thru our body and it all seems like the world was ending as the lights came on and we were cast outside back into the dirty poxy real world :(.......a musical epitaph on the headstone of the great nights!

This was posted also in one of the other threads about the early roots of dance music, this one from 1981 in Detroit and from what I've read just a few weeks before the Cybotron track 'Alleys of the Mind'...

And therein lies the reasoning , the mid 90's were my early 20's so I was a supersonic pill munching ubercool ravehead (or so I thought lol) pouring scorn on the likes of KLF,Scuuter et al .....it was in my worldly wise opinion "for kids man"

:oThe early to mid 80's however,I thought certain acts were the sh!t but i'm sure those that were 9-10years older than me would've been pouring scorn on the music of 84/85

I blame TOTP,Smash Hits and Saturday Morning TV lol

in the early to mid 90s i listened to everything lol, from "proper" tunes to kiddie crap, i was only a child at the time so scooter and ultra sonic woulda been in the mix alright lol.

i also blame those NOW THATS WHAT I CALL MUSIC tapes for some of the crap i was listening to back then such as 2 unlimited and the like.

Like the vibe of the tune too , simular to this from 84

One of my all time fav breakin tunes along with Tour de france & captain rock! :)
