Not if she was ugly. She prolly was, or else it was a woman correcting her portfolio.

    She seems sound out
But not sure if she'd tolorate it
If theres no rules against it she can't do anything

I think I shall be cracking open a can of Ken moments before I seal my Applied Maths script... just for the sheer badness of it, and to say I drank in one of my exams. :)

if ya wanna drink, drink coke and vodka..

if ya wanna be not very subtle bout it, bottle of buckfast

i think u mite be bant cause ur prob not allowed to sit any state exams under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 208 ✭✭7thSeal

Well there's no point being subtle
I've already been drunk in an exam
I just want to know if they can do anything if I drink in there

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭oq4v3ht0u76kf2

Well my superintendent is really sound so I figure as long as I am just about to seal the exam and I leave really near the end then she won't mind too much. Can't wait for it! 9 days left!

Can someone tell me if there is any rules against it

Instructions and Regulations for the Conduct of Candidates during Examinations

    [...]

    20. A candidate may be expelled from the examination hall if his/her behaviour is such as to jeopardise the successful conduct of the examination. [...]

That's the only rule I can find which you could be caught on, alcohol is not explicity forbidden but I'm assuming it contravenes this rule as it would be a disturbance, etc. - so do it at the end of the exam (i.e. last 15 minutes) and then fsck off out of it. If your examiner is sound and it's a fairly small number in the exam then you'll more than likely get away with it, but don't come crying to me if you don't.

I'll give it a try anyway
    She seems nice
If she doesn't want me drinking she would probably just tell me to put it away

  • Registered Users Posts: 835 ✭✭✭sock.rocker*

is it worth the risk.. you'll be a laughin stock if ya **** it up

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭oq4v3ht0u76kf2

Aye, but, at least in my case, I'm as sure as I can be that my superintendent will just laugh at it - and it's something to look back on and think "I did that during my Leaving... most didn't".

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 208 ✭✭7thSeal

How will I be a laughin stock?

7thSeal: absolute worst case... Leaving Cert scrapped and all that ****e - all for a swig of buckfast. You'd look pretty stupid like...

    Sounds pretty funny to me

    Wouldn't your parents be pissed?

What they don't allow you to repeat the LC?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 208 ✭✭7thSeal

I've never heard that phrase before

    Ya, me either.

But seriously 7thSeal, you should be taking life more seriously for these years of your life and then relax (or fool around and go nuts) when you can afford to.

I don't want to leave school
I'm not ready to go out into the real world yet

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭kawaii

Yeah, but you can't run away from it. You're just wasting time imo.
Then again, 'tis none of my business.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 208 ✭✭7thSeal

    The way I see it
    If I enjoy myself
    It's not wasted time

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭kawaii

I know. I follow your point of view but I think that although you enjoy yourself, in the long run the time spent repeating will end up meaning nothing when you might already be out living life.

Who cares about the long run
You need to live in the here and now
