Hey, Im going to attempt to lay a garden path this weekend out of Indian Sandstone.
The stones are in two sizes, 1x1ft and 1x2ft and have an uneven finish (top and sides)
Im wondering what is the best way to joint them? can I just dry brush a sand/cement mix or will I need to butter them in or what?
Also I read that building sand is not good to use as the base, is this true?
I have an underlay to keep the soil distinct from the sand.
Any tips or pointers from anyone?
as its only a garden path and wont take much traffic, certainly no heavy stuff am I right in saying that I wont need to put down a layer of stone before the sand bedding?
