Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Uefa boss set to spark sexism row
Johansson believes sponsors must make the most of womens' physical attributes to drive the sport forward.

He told BBC Radio Five Live: "There are companies who could make use of a sweaty, lovely looking girl playing on the ground and it would sell."

I can think of a few all right, but not fit for non-adult consumption... :D

Is it a sport, or a living breathing example of Loaded?

IMO, if the suits that run football want women's football to be taken seriously, then treating it as an exercise in "sex sells" is a mistake. Yeah, you'll get the fans in, but is it WWE we're watching, or professional football?

Of course, it may mean facing the fact that female versions of traditionally men's sports just don't sell as well as mens. Ladies Gaelic Football, Camogie, Women's NBA for example. Women's athletics seems to do ok without the crotch shots...

Beckham was so popular because he was good looking.
That said his footballing ability came first.
The UEFA boss is suggesting their looks should come first, cause well he's stupid

im not so sure. i think he was just pointing out that the ladies look lovely ewhen they come out all sweaty and gorgeous etc.

he did recently say that sebb blatter was srong for saying that the women should wear tighter shorts!

They've re-edited the original article on the Beeb site (they've changed the headline from "UEFA boss set to spark sexism row" to "Uefa boss responds on sexism row"), and he does come across as much more reasonable given that he criticises Bladder on his tighter shorts idea and praises the Euro 2005 tournament.
