Hi, have the nct coming up on wednesday. Have just discovered the the fog light doesn't work, is that a fail? It mentions "aux light" on the nct website. If anyone can offer any other advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

No doubt they'll probably fail you for it, I've heard of much worse reasons for a fail. Better get it fixed.

Fog lamps and reverse lights are not tested.

Have just finished swapping out the passenger door, as the old one had been jimmied. Thing is, we ended up having to use the old dodgy lock, and it is still a bit fussy. If you try the door handle while the car is locked, the door won't always unlock straight away, either with the key or from inside. A few goes and it unlocks.
Does anyone know if this is a failing offence?

If the tester gets it on a good day, it might be fine. If its sticky, it'll likely fail.
