Yeah, he'll normally ring to arrange a meeting time, and he usually will have a chat with your boss.

Good luck getting a hold of my boss for the next month even i can't do that.

Usually its a talk to your boss, and then a talk to you, to make sure your alright, and that your not just been giving "tea lady" duties. Seemingly one company, a while back, got the work exp student to bring them tea most of the time, as there was so little to do.

    /edit

Oh, and "boss" means someone who's above you, in charge. Just to do the "professional liason" with the company bit, imo.

How do you not get it?
Be it that you think your remarks are innocent its not fair to post any material that slates a lecturer in any way?
Do you not think they know who you are and your doing yourself damage by posting these comments?

They read this forum. I was talking to several of my lecturers at my graduation and they were all well aware of this forum.

Well rules are rules I'm afraid.

did you guys learn flash in fourth year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,204 ✭✭✭woodyg

Its not on any set topic
but a couple of use brave souls went out and learned it to do our multimedia projects in.

The learning curve is quite steep man but the results are pretty top notch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 405 ✭✭dream brother

we had to do a multimedia cd of some sort in Flash or anyother software that would be capable to do this. Probably the best bit about 4th, cause you're left to your own devices and it was fun (but hard to understand)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,479 ✭✭✭wheres me jumpa

what does the cd have to do? do you have a choice of topic?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,879 ✭✭✭The_B_Man

ye you hav a choice. it has to be able to work from when you pit in into the drive ie autoplay, and it has to load a little flash window that you can navigate thru the whole CD. kinda like when u put the Windows CD in and that startup thing comes up.

ppl this year did it on things like college life, anti-smoking and tutorials for stuff.

    cheers b-man.

it doesnt seem too difficlut, i may be wrong?

what other subjects do ye do? whats the toughesT?

Bman s not CSM 4 he turned to the dark side. :)

WMJ The CD must play Video have stills etc. It s really easy a lot of us used Demo shield!
Its a program designed for this Project and real easy to use.

The subject are pretty easy except these two Accounting and Strategic Management!!
The first is hard to understand the second bring a pillow cause man it is boring and hard to understand.

Its a pretty handy year by all accounts, best thing is no project until 5th year.

    I value my coffee ... there is no way in hell i would trust someone from Carlow to make good coffee -- Unless of course it's Fionn or Francis, who also like Tar;

Giving people tea duty is all you can do in certain cases - due to either lack of experience on behalf of the person, or that a company may do something very detailed/specialised, and could not actually give you anything to do.
I think if someone gets tea duty for three months, it is their fault ... if you really are interested, and do end up making tea, well keep showing interest till you actually are noticed, and told stuff etc ... if you are given tea duty, and do the bitching thing ... you will continue at that task for some time.
